Description
Excerpt: For each of the following scenarios the group must determine whether or not the Big City MPO is allowed to take credit for the given control measure in its upcoming plan/TIP conformity determination. Big City is a severe nonattainment area with a 2007 attainment date for the 1- hour ozone standard and is a moderate nonattainment area for the 8-hour ozone standard with a 2010 attainment date. The 1-hour and 8-hour ozone boundaries are the same (i.e., Big City is a scenario 1 8-hour area). Big City intends to demonstrate conformity for both the 1-hour and 8- hour ozone standards during the one-year grace period for the 8-hour ozone standard. Big City?s transportation plan covers the years 2005 to 2025. Consistent with ?93.118 of the conformity rule, the area has chosen to evaluate 2005, 2007, 2010, 2015 and 2025 in its regional emissions analysis. To assist you the regulatory text for section 93.122(a)(1) - (4) appears on page 6 of the exercise.
